1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Students Olympic Association ("SOA") platform ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our student Olympic competition management platform, including all features, functionality, and services available through our website and applications.

2. Description of Service

The Students Olympic Association platform provides:

• Multi-level event management (District, State, National, International)
• Student and institution registration for competitions
• Payment processing for event fees
• Competition fixture generation and management
• Result tracking and ranking systems
• Digital certificate generation with QR code verification
• Admin affiliation and role management
• Document verification and student ID generation

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use our Service, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information including your name, email, date of birth, and institution details. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for all activities under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account (or as per local regulations)
• You may not share your account credentials with others
• You must provide accurate information for event registrations

3.3 Student ID

Upon registration, you will receive a unique Student ID that identifies you across all SOA events. This ID is used for registrations, results, and certificates.

4. Event Registration and Participation

4.1 Registration Process

When registering for events, you agree to:

• Provide accurate personal and competition information
• Upload required documents (age proof, institution verification, etc.)
• Pay all applicable registration fees
• Comply with event rules and regulations
• Participate fairly and ethically in competitions

4.2 Duplicate Detection

Our system uses duplicate detection to prevent multiple registrations. If duplicate registrations are detected, we reserve the right to cancel or merge accounts.

4.3 Registration Cancellation

Registration cancellations and refunds are subject to event-specific policies. Generally, refunds may be available before the registration deadline, subject to administrative fees.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Payment Methods

We accept online payments via Razorpay (credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking) and offline payments with receipt verification. All payments are processed securely.

5.2 Fees

• Event registration fees vary by event and activity
• All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes
• Payment is required to complete registration
• Failed payments may result in registration cancellation

5.3 Refunds

Refund policies vary by event. Generally, refunds are available before the registration deadline, minus any processing fees. No refunds are provided after event commencement.

6. Competition Rules and Conduct

6.1 Fair Play

All participants must compete fairly and ethically. Any form of cheating, doping, or unfair practices will result in immediate disqualification and potential ban from future events.

6.2 Code of Conduct

You agree to:

• Respect all participants, officials, and organizers
• Follow all competition rules and regulations
• Maintain sportsmanship and integrity
• Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or harmful behavior

7. Certificates and Results

7.1 Certificates

Official certificates are generated automatically after event completion. Certificates include QR codes for verification and are available for download from your account.

7.2 Results

Competition results are published on our platform and are final unless errors are identified and corrected within 7 days of publication. Results disputes must be submitted with supporting evidence.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Students Olympic Association and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

8.2 Your Rights

You retain ownership of your personal information and content. By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to use your information solely for the purpose of providing our services and managing competitions.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Students Olympic Association shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising from your use of the Service or participation in events.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Students Olympic Association from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, participation in events, or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or inappropriate conduct. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
